What you send
Your question, a category, the state or territory involved, and a password chosen for that question. A guide you select is linked to the question. We do not ask for an email address or send email. There are no file attachments. Do not send Social Security numbers, application or account numbers, full addresses, financial records, medical records, or documents.
Who can read it
You open your conversation with its question number and your separate question password. GMM operators can read the conversation to prepare a manual reply and manage the service. There is no public question list. Keep the number and password private, and use “Lock this conversation” when you finish on a shared device.
Your password and question number
Passwords are stored as salted hashes, not as readable passwords. Save your password and the number shown after sending. If you lose either one, GMM cannot restore access; you will need to send a new question. Return to the conversation to check for replies.
What this service does
GMM can explain an article, help you find an official contact, or review a reported error. This is not a government application, a benefits eligibility decision, or an emergency service. Only the agency administering a program can decide an application. Do not wait for a reply if a deadline is approaching.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the question service and its D1 database, with encryption at rest. A separate security-check screen uses Cloudflare Turnstile to limit automated submissions; it has no question or password fields. Question pages do not load advertising, analytics, or externally hosted fonts.
Storage and deletion
Conversations are scheduled for deletion 90 days after the last message or reply. You can delete an open conversation using “Delete this question.” Deletion removes the active conversation. Cloudflare database recovery copies may retain deleted records for up to 30 days. GMM does not restore private conversations from those copies; service recovery starts with an empty question database.
Public answers
GMM may write a separate, reviewed FAQ about a common topic. Submitted conversations are not published automatically. Public answers must remove personal details and be checked before publication.
